The dissolution of the state Assembly by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on September 6 has triggered the political heat in Mahbubnagar district as all the political parties are preparing their war horses and entering the electoral campaign arena to fight in the peoples domain
Mahbubnagar: The dissolution of the state Assembly by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on September 6 has triggered the political heat in Mahbubnagar district as all the political parties are preparing their war horses and entering the electoral campaign arena to fight in the people’s domain.
While it was TRS which planned well and executed the dissolution and in no time released the names of 105 contestants across Telangana which included the names of all the sitting MLAs of all the 14 Assembly constituencies, entered into the electoral campaining arena to seek votes from the people for the good work they had delivered during the past 4 years.
On the other hand, the Congress party leaders too in no time jumped into the fray and announced probable 60 names of its electoral contestants across the State, of which almost more than 10 names of sitting or earlier contested candidates have been retained across erstwhile Mahbubnagar district.
While speaking about the TRS game plan to fight the upcoming elections, Srinivas Goud, MLA contestant from Mahabubnagar district said that his only mantra is welfare and development.
“In just 4 years of TRS government’s rule we have proved that if political will is there we can bring drastic changes to the lives of all sections of people in the state and we have done it proved it. We have created history of sorts by implementing historical programmes by keeping in mind both short-term and long-term needs of the people in mind,” Goud said.
“Never in the history of any state government in India had spent Rs. 40,000 crores which is almost half of its total budget for welfare and Telangana government had done it and shown it to the people,” he added.
“Not just welfare we have equally given importance to building infrastructure in agriculture, irrigation, drinking water supply, housing, roads and building, and healthcare and Education sectors. To a larger extent we also have tried to fulfil the promise of providing employment and the process is going on. So we are banking confidentially on our achievements in a short span of just 4 years. And definitely TRS will be blessed by the people of Telangana for a second term,” observed the MLA.
On the other hand, the Congress candidate from Gadwal DK Aruna, Nagarkurnool Nagam Janardhan Reddy, from Kodangal Revanth Reddy, Vamshi Chand from Kalwakurthy and Pratap Reddy from Shadnagar, Chinna Reddy from Wanaparthy are countering the TRS candidates claims word by word and competing neck to neck equally giving tough time to the TRS party in the district.
DK Aruna, Gadwal contestant from Congress has come out heavily against the TRS government in the State and BJP government in the centre and alleged that both these parties are adopting anti-people’s policies.
While talking at a press conference at her camp office in Gadwal, DK Aruna said, “The TRS had failed to serve full term in the assembly fearing backlash for their failures from the people. They have already literally lost the people’s confidence and to distract the people from the government’s failures they have forced early elections and definitely in the upcoming elections the people of the state will give a befitting lesion to the TRS party,” said D.K. Aruna.
She said before launching the Palamuru Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation project (PRRLI), the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had promised to complete the project by sitting near the site day and night. But what the people are seeing today is totally opposite to it. The TRS party failed to deliver its promises. And people have now realised that KCR only talks big but does nothing on the ground.”
The BJP party, on the other hand, is fully prepared to host a big Maha Sabha in Mahbubnagar and even invited Amit Shah, the party president and gearing up to further increase the political heat.
While the CPI, CPM, TDP, New Democracy and TJS parties are all grouping together and united supporting the opposition Congress to defeat the TRS party.
“TRS Chief KCR has ruled the state as an autocratic leader and suppressed the voices of the people those who opposed his wrong policies. All through years he ruled with police support and slapped wrong cases against all those who opposed him. So we want to through this government out and collaborating with all those likeminded parties to defeat the TRS,” said Paramesh Goud, CPI district Secretary.
