GHMC initiates special drive to clear water hyacinth

Old Bowenpally: To meager the mosquito menace and rescue people from the dangerous deceases like malaria, dengue, The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has started a special drive for removal of water hyacinth, edge cleaning from the lakes and larvicides spraying activities at Musi, Hasmathpet. At the same time, the GHMC workers started to regular fogging in the area to control mosquito menace.

There were regular complaints given to the officials on the issue because the area people are suffering from malaria. The area people also are participating in the special drive to remove the water hyacinth in the local ponds and lakes. The Hasmathpet lake became hell to the people of the area and recently the GHMC workers along with the local cleaned the lake. Mohammed Omer AIMIM Old Bowenpally said, “GHMC has deployed a team for the spraying operation at Hasmathpet Lake which would help reduce mosquito menace.”
