​Hyderabad: In an effort to reach out to disgruntled jobless youth of the State, Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) president M Kodandaram announced Rs 2,500 monthly allowance if his party comes to power. Further, he stated that one lakh jobs would be filled in first year alone. Job calendar would be released so that students have an idea when to expect job notification and recruitment process, he said.

Speaking at the press meet organised by Telangana Journalists Union here on Friday, he came down heavily on Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government for its lopsided priorities that is negatively impacting every citizen of the State.
Be it jobs, fee reimbursement, delayed Aasara pensions and NREGS payments, 2-bedroom scheme etc. public are dissatisfied lot, he said

Public money is being misused, spent unnecessarily and all voices that question government's policies are being suppressed undemocratically, TJS chief felt. He said TRS government failed miserably in ensuring bifurcation promises made in AP Reorganization Act, including separate High Court, steel plant at Bayyaram, railway coach factory at Kazipet, staff division were not fulfilled.

The need was to depute a Minister in New Delhi to expedite the issues but TRS government did not take it seriously, he fumed. Commenting on new Secretariat plan at Bison Polo grounds, he said it was unnecessary as the present Secretariat was spacious enough. The motive is to move to a new location and lease out the existing building and Hussain Sagar surroundings for commercial purposes to family members, the retired professor alleged.

The TJS supremo said they would take fulfil own house dream of common man by taking up constructions in government lands, including Miyapur and Kokapet lands. Ensuring quality education and health are on top of our priority list, he said. Kodandaram said that TJS party was established to provide a better alternative to people of the State.

“We have worked closely with all sections for 14 years during Telangana agitation. Our objective is to stand up and speak for people's cause and issues," he said, adding that TJS was not appendage to any party. TJS has the wherewithal to fight TRS and will contest 2019 elections on its own, he stated.

Elaborating details about his New Delhi tour, Kodandaram said that he met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Union Minister Ajit Singh and discussed about TJS's future plans, their suggestions and election strategies.
