​Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday afternoon in New Delhi. The Chief Minister left for national capital on Friday morning. During the meeting, KCR will request the Prime Minister to give approval and clearance to the newly-created zonal system in the Telangana state.

He will brief Modi in detail about the necessity of new zones. He will also bring to the notice of PM the long-pending division of High Court and request to expedite the division of court.

The Centre’s assistance for the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation project, allotment of Defence land for Secretariat building construction, amending the constitution for enhancement of reservations, release of funds for development of backward districts, establishing IIIT in Karimnagar, establishing Jawahar Navodaya educational institutions in the newly-formed districts and so on will also figure in the meeting.

KCR called on Union Minister of Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad earlier in the day and discussed the subject of division of High Court and creation of new zone and pending for the approval of the Centre.
