The Hans India report published on 22nd July, 2018 titled Nurses, ANMs, paramedical staff miss Salaries due to transfers has proded the higher officials in Hyderabad and had initiated corrective steps to ensure all those staff nurses, ANMS and other paramedical staff who have not received salaries due to transfers will now get their pending dues
Mahbubnagar: The Hans India report published on 22nd July, 2018 titled ‘Nurses, ANMs, paramedical staff miss Salaries due to transfers” has proded the higher officials in Hyderabad and had initiated corrective steps to ensure all those staff nurses, ANMS and other paramedical staff who have not received salaries due to transfers will now get their pending dues.
Vakati Karuna, Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare, government of Telangana, gave clear instructions to the Assistant Director Krishanaveni to ensure all those who suffered due to lack of payment of salaries due to over serving at their existing places after being taken over by other transferred candidate, get their salaries by submitting non-drawl certificates to the medical officers at the new working stations after transfers.
While informing this, Vakati Karuna said, “It is because of lack of proper communication some health staff had faced problems with regard to their salaries. However, there are clear cut rules available and we have also directed the concerned officials at the district level to resolve the issue as early as possible.”
The commissioner after seeing the report in the media had given clear instructions to Krishnaveni, Assistant Director, Medical and Health, to immediately look into the matter and ensure no medical staff at the district level suffers due to communication gap among the officials.
For all those who had not got the salaries for the gap period during the process of transfers, the concerned employees are directed to take the non-drawl certificates from their previous working stations and submit the same to the medical officer at the newly posted place.
The concerned accounts officer will bill the salary for the gap period and will clear all the pending dues. With the Health Medical and Family Welfare Commissioner promised to direct the concerned district officials at Telangana Vidya Vidhana Parishad, DCHS and DMHO, over phone, the health staff members who are suffering due to lack of salaries have expressed happiness.
“There is no need to give written notice to the department officials; there are clear cut rules available. It is only due to lack of awareness about the procedures and government regulations among the employees that has caused this problem.
All those employees who are impacted due to transfers need to submit their non-drawl certificates with the medical officers at newly posted stations and as per the government’s procedure the pending dues will be cleared,” informed Krishnaveni.
With more than 30-35 health staff in Mahbubnagar and other parts of the Telangana state were suffering for non-payment of salaries for more than 25 days, they were panicked and were confused where to approach to get their pending salaries.
However, when Hans India took up their cause, the higher officials took the initiatives to pay the pending salaries of the health staff. “We were going from pillar to post for getting the pending dues. Nobody was willing to help us in the Health department.
We had even represented to the higher-ups in the Health department, but they moved only after the newspaper report. We thank Hans India for helping us get our pending dues,” said Kommu Amruth, husband of a staff nurse who was suffering due to lack of salary for the month of June-July 2018.
