Warangal: City Congress working president Rajanala Srihari has criticised the TRS government for its failure to fulfil its poll promises. Srihari expressed solidarity with the members of the Aided College Temporary Staff Association, who took out a rally here on Thursday in protest against the government’s alleged plan to privatise the aided colleges.

He said that the government, which failed to implement the KG to PG free education, is trying privatise the educational institutions. “This could be a huge blow to the poor and middleclass,” he said, demanding Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari not to burden the people further. Srihari also demanded the Deputy CM to quit his post for his failure to implement KG to PG free education even after four years of the TRS rule.

The employees, led by their leaders B Ratnakar, VP Prabhakar, Vijayalalitha, Srinivasa Rao, M Shankar and P Shiv Kumar, took out a rally from LB College to MGM Hospital, where they staged road blockade.

Extending his support to the municipal resource persons’ strike, he demanded the government to provide a minimum wage of Rs 18,500 to each worker. “The government should provide facilities such as ESI, PF and health cards to these resource persons,” Srihari said.
