Khammam: Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader Yerra Srikanth here on Wednesday demanded that the traffic signals be installed at Kalvaddu bypass road in the city. As part of division survey, the CPI-M leaders visited the 48th division and interacted with the people.
Speaking on the occasion, Srikanth said that there was a stream of heavy traffic at the bypass road. The people in area, particularly the pedestrians were facing a lot problem because of heavy traffic, he said.
There is junction between Mekala Naranayananagar and sub-jail road along with Kalvaddu link road. Many accidents took place resulting in death of many due to lack of traffic signals at this junction, he alleged. He also urged the police to deploy traffic constables in the area to regulate the traffic.
CPI-M party leaders Y Srinivas, T Lingaiah, B Yakaiah, S Veerababu, D Ravi, S K Qasim, M Lakshmaiah, P Krishna Rao, M Pulla Rao, M Srinivas Rao, P Nagesh, B Babu and Ch Srinu were present at the programme.
