Secunderabad Post Office to be awarded by UIDAI
UIDAI has announced the Aadhaar Excellence Awards, 2018, constituted to appreciate the commendable efforts of India Post in setting up and operating Aadhaar Enrolment Updation Centres across India A total of 66 awards are being given in three categories Best Performing Postal Circle, Fastest rollout in the country by a Postal Circle and Best Performing Post Office in a Postal Region Telangana
​Hyderabad: UIDAI has announced the Aadhaar Excellence Awards, 2018, constituted to appreciate the commendable efforts of India Post in setting up and operating Aadhaar Enrolment & Updation Centres across India. A total of 66 awards are being given in three categories- Best Performing Postal Circle, Fastest rollout in the country by a Postal Circle and Best Performing Post Office in a Postal Region. Telangana is a proud recipient of one of these awards.
G. Venugopal Reddy, Deputy Director General, UIDAI Regional Office, Hyderabad, informed that under his jurisdiction covering Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Chattisgarh, A&N Islands said ‘the awards in the category of the Best Performing Postal Circle and Fastest rollout in the country by a Postal Circle will be received by respective Chief Post Master Generals of the winning Circles, and that of Best Performing Post Offices by respective Post Masters.
The Awards function, which will be followed by a workshop on Aadhaar Best Practices, is will be held today at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. G. Venugopal Reddy, Deputy Director General, UIDAI Regional Office Hyderabad, also informed that Aadhaar Enrolment & Update Centres will function in 266 post offices in Telangana and 578 post offices in Andhra Pradesh.
