​Hyderabad: Justice Thottathil Bhaskaran Nair Radhakrishnan was sworn in new Chief Justice of Hyderabad High Court for the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Presently, he is serving as Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court.

At a brief ceremony at Raj Bhavan, Governor ESL Narasimhan administered the oath of office to Radhakrishnan. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM KE Krishna Murthy, Telangana CLP leader K Jana Reddy, leader of the Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohd Shabbir Ali and some Telangana ministers were present.

Born in Kerala, Radhakrishnan pursued LLB course from Bangalore University. He enrolled at the Bar in 1983 and practiced in Thiruvananthapuram. He was elevated as judge of the Kerala High Court in October 2004 and was the Acting CJ of the Kerala High Court twice before his elevation as the CJ of Chhattisgarh High Court in March last year.
