The Government of Telangana and NITI Aayog, Government of India have signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) on strengthening collaboration in the areas of AI, Blockchain, IoT, and other emerging technologies.
Hyderabad : The Government of Telangana and NITI Aayog, Government of India have signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) on strengthening collaboration in the areas of AI, Blockchain, IoT, and other emerging technologies.
The SoI was signed by Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary to the Government of Telangana and Anna Roy, Adviser (Industry), NITI Aayog in the presence of Amitabh, Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog on 3rdJuly at a conference on AI organised by NITI Aayog at Taj Mansingh in New Delhi.
Collaborating with NITI Aayog, the premier policy ‘Think Tank’ of the Government of India, Mr. Jayesh Ranjan said, “Emerging technologies such as AI, Blockchain, IoT, etc. possess immense potential not only to simplify corporate applications, but also to transform the way government applications function. Government of Telangana is extremely serious about employing these technologies, with preliminary steps already having been taken in this direction.”
Anna Roy mentioned that NITI Aayog and the Government of Telangana would work together on implementing solutions in frontier technologies that would impact the way services are delivered by the Government.
The SoI between Government of Telangana and NITI Aayog focuses on the following points: Collaborate on devising implementation framework for solutions based on emerging technologies such as Blockchain, AI, IoT, etc; Partner to identify best practices and propagate solutions across the country; Identify suitable financial support channels for funding pilots based on emerging technologies in Telangana; Develop a strong support system to further enhance skilling and entrepreneurship programs in Telangana; Capacity Building within the Central Government and State Government; Establish Centre of Excellences (CoEs) in the area of emerging technologies and Constitute focus groups.
