Hyderabad : South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav advised the officials to focus on station cleanliness over the zone to reach highest possible standards.
Yadav instructed the officials to make proposals for implementing mechanized cleaning of the stations apart from existing. He instructed the DRMs to focus on passenger complaints related to cleanliness of the trains/stations, food quality, quality of Lenin supply in trains, etc., and instructed for quick disposal of complaints received to attain the passenger satisfaction. He also instructed them to make proposals for construction of Divyang Friendly Toilets at all the important stations and toilets on all the platforms as part of improving passenger amenities.
He conducted a detailed review meeting on 3rd July at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. John Thomas, Additional General Manager, along with Principal Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded attended the meeting through video conference.
On the Punctuality aspect, the General Manager advised the officials to focus on the issues which are hampering the punctuality such as temporary speed restrictions, passenger train movements, infrastructural works etc., to improve punctuality of the trains and instructed officials to identify the root causes for asset failures etc and suggested to take corrective action at ground level to improve the punctuality.
Yadav instructed the security department officials to take steps to strengthen the child help desks and advised to open more help desks at all the important stations, so that the rescue of distressed children should be addressed on fast track. He reviewed the loading performance of the zone and he advised the officials to do meticulous plans including supply of the empty rakes to the divisions to meet the demand to improve the loading. Officials briefed on the progress of Gudur Station re-development works, the General Manager issued the instructions to speed up the works.
