Search giant Google is helping over 40 children realize their vision. The company recently organized its first summer camp in India where kids across India will get to experience a magical moment.

Google is letting these children explore new-age technologies at its very first summer camp. Googlers are educating the children about the subject of internet safety. Google received more than 20,000 applications from India for its summer camp. These applicants are in the age group of 13 to 18 years of age.

The month-long competition was held to let a limited number of students experience Google technologies. The competition was divided into four assignments. Participants were allowed to use Google products to explore places and cultures of different countries. Students are expected to experience a magical moment that they would forever hold in their hearts.

In the first assignment, students used Google Earth to explore a country of their choice. They were allowed to choose between France, Spain or China. Next, they had to use Google Translate to understand keywords of the language used in these countries. The third assignment was focused on arts and culture. Students were allowed to explore museums in the chosen country to make a gallery out of it.

The final assignment was around Google’s own programming tool called ‘Scratch’. Students were asked to build an app to share their experience. The reward of this competition was a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get an exclusive visit to Google’s office in Gurugram. Over 40 students from different geographies have won a chance to visit Google’s office in Gurugram.

Many of these 40 kids come from small towns like Hoshiarpur, Varanasi, and Kapurthala. The bright future beams through smiles and excitement of these kids’ faces. A 13-year old Daksh Kohli from Kapurthala, Punjab said, “Till 11 AM we got to explore the Google office. And it was very fun to see. We were very excited to see different things that we do in our daily lives, how do they actually work. It's something like a dream coming true. You can get the great amount of creativity. Like the ideas come automatically. The employees here are very friendly."
