Top seeded J Sai Agni Jeevitesh of Warangal won the 2nd Sardar Bishan Singh Ji Memorial State Open Rapid Chess Tournament held at Olivemount Global School, Nalanda Nagar, Attapur, Hyderbad The tournament was organised by Maestro Chess Academy
​Hyderabad: Top seeded J Sai Agni Jeevitesh of Warangal won the 2nd Sardar Bishan Singh Ji Memorial State Open Rapid Chess Tournament held at Olivemount Global School, Nalanda Nagar, Attapur, Hyderbad. The tournament was organised by Maestro Chess Academy.
Sai Agni stayed unbeaten in the event by winning 7 rounds, drawing two rounds and scoring a total of 8 points out of 9 rounds. Eight players tied for second place by scoring 7.5 points each and after a thrilling tie break Perumalla Ramakrishna of Indian Postal Services become the runner up.
Sai Agni received Rs. 10,000 cash prize and the winner trophy. P Rama Krishna received Rs. 7,000/ and runners-up trophy. Total Cash prizes of Rs. 60,000 was distributed among top 30 prize winners, a press release said on Monday.
