Hyderabad: The fourth Infinity Ride, Aditya Mehta Foundation’s (AMF) ambitious fundraising charity cycle ride for supporting para athletes, was fruitful one in more ways than one.

Marking the culmination of the difficult and mountainous Himalayan terrains was the welcome accorded to the 30 riders at Manali by Kiran Rijiju, Union Minister of Home (State) and Abhinav Kumar Inspector General along with top BSF officials.

The Border Security Force (BSF) had lent their support to AMF in this good cause with a mission to not only raise funds but also secure training of 100 para athletes and prepare them for the Tokyo Para Games in 2020.

The conclusion was to coincide with the 72nd Independence Day celebration. “Our motto is to challenge and attempt the unthinkable. We have an aim of winning 100 medals for India and we will keep working towards it,” Aditya Mehta, founder of AMF and also coach of the Indian para-cycling team, said.

Beating torrential rain, landslides and the muddy mountainous tracks the 20 fundraising riders and 10 Indian Para Cyclists taking part in the charity ride had come from different parts of the country.

In the latest rise, they traversed through Shimla, Narkanda, Rampur, Kalpa, Sangla, Pooh, Nako, Tabo, Kaza, Losar, Chhatru, Rohtang and Manali.
