New Delhi: A suspected drug supplier carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 was arrested for allegedly supplying heroin to dealers in UP and Delhi-NCR, police said on Monday.
The accused identified as Sarvan Yadav was arrested in connection with a case wherein he had supplied heroin worth Rs 20 crore in the international market to his dealer, they said.
"Acting on a tip off, a trap was laid near New Delhi Railway Station on October 12 where Yadav had come to board the train for Jharkhand.
Subsequently, the accused was arrested," Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell), said.
During interrogation, Yadav disclosed that he was involved in drug trafficking for the last four to five years and had supplied more than 50 kg heroin to various dealers.
