Khemka to get Central posting
Khemka to get Central posting, Haryana top bureaucrat Ashok Khemka, who took on Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra is headed to New Delhi on a Central Government posting.
New Delhi: Haryana top bureaucrat Ashok Khemka, who took on Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra is headed to New Delhi on a Central Government posting.
He is all likely to get a posting in the PMO itself for exposing the land deals of Vadra. Khemka had sought deputation in the Centre after alleging persecution and victimisation from the Haryana government.
Presently, Khemka is serving as Director-General of Archives in Haryana. Khemka cancelled Rs 57 crore land deal between Vadra and DLF in 2012, on the grounds that it violated basic guidelines to grant windfall gain to him.
Khemka has been transferred several times, with over 40 postings in his 22-year career. In January, the Congress government in Haryana recommended CBI probe into a contract awarded by Khemka to a Gujarat firm in 2009, when he was the Managing Director of the State Warehouse Corporation.
Significantly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had targeted the Congress first family for corruption in the run-up to general elections.
Modi spoke of the Rahul, Sonia, Vadra and Priyanka (RSVP) Model of corruption. The RSVP Model became successful due to the patronage provided by the Gandhi family to Robert Vadra, he alleged.
Making Vadra the focal point of the corruption under the Congress-led UPA regime, the BJP brought out a video and a booklet on Vadra called Damad Shree, focusing on Vadra’s corruption deals. Vadra was described as the “gambler,” who earned Rs 50 crores in three months.
