Do you think Seemandhras who settled in Hyderabad have emotionally integrated into Hyderabad population to vote for TRS?

Divergent views have emerged on preference of Seemandhra voters for parties in the forthcoming elections. Most of the respondents have felt that the Seemandhra people, who settled in Hyderabad and integrated into Hyderabad population, may not choose to vote for TRS though they voted for it in the GHMC elections.
But some people have felt that a particular caste people may vote for People’s Front under the influence of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and another caste people, who are the supporters of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, may prefer to vote for TRS. Another section of people have said it is difficult to predict which way the Seemandhra voters will tilt.
It’s difficult to predict the outlook of the Seemandhras living in Hyderabad. One thing is sure that they owned the city and they are living like the Hyderabadis. When it comes to the voting, the elections held to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) in 2016 proved that natives of Seemandhra also had voted for Telangana Rashtra Samithi. However, Assembly elections are different kettle of fish compared to that of GHMC.- Ramesh Goud D, private lecturer, Warangal
Emotionally, people hailing from the Seemandhra region are very much attached and part of Hyderabad population. It’s difficult to differentiate them from locals. Despite this, I don’t think majority of Seemandhra residents in Hyderabad vote for Telangana Rashtra Samithi. In some pockets where Seemandhras population is polarised, they supported the Telugu Desam candidates in 2014 elections. But the situation changed in the election to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation in 2016. It remains to be seen how the Seemandhras would react in the forthcoming Assembly elections. - Kadavendi Ajay, private employee, Hanamkonda
Seemandhra people play caste politics. I think that people belonging to a caste will vote for TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu. I believe that another community, who support Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, will vote for TRS. - Praveen kumar, MBA student, Nalgonda
Andhra settlers in Hyderabad may be inclined to vote for People’s front under the influence of N Chandrababu Naidu. - Chandra Shekar, carpenter, Ramaram, Nalgonda
I think that a section of Seemandhra people, who settled, and integrated into Hyderabad population, will vote for TRS in the forthcoming elections. They have been playing an important role in boosting the revenue of the State. The government has not shown any discrimination towards them. So, the people from Seemandhra will vote for the TRS. - Koyyada Venkatesh, self-employed, Huzurabad, Karimnagar
I feel the Seemandhra people will never lose their emotional touch with Andhra Pradesh and they would never vote for TRS party even though they are emotionally integrated into the local Hyderabad population. Except a few, majority of Seemandhra people will vote for Andhra-based parties. - Shankar, Mahbubnagar
Yes, I think that the Seeemandhra population who had settled in Hyderabad had already got integrated into the local population long ago even before the formation of Telangana State. They think that they are very much integral part of the State. Coming to Seemandhra people voting for TRS, they might have had some differences and had voted for the TDP and other Andhra parties. But after formation of Telangana State, they had realised the administrative capabilities of KCR and they too felt that a leader like KCR was the need of the hour for Andhra Pradesh too for its development. - A Ramchander, Jadcherla, Mahbubnagar
No, I don’t think so. Forget about the Seemandhra voters. Now, the Telangana voters are also not inclined to vote for TRS. Sentiments may not work now. The people are angry as election promises were not fulfilled. Unemployment problems remain unsolved. The youth, even after completing postgraduation, PhDs , are struggling to get jobs. - G Ganesh, student, New Nallakunta
No, I don’t think that Seemandhras, who settled in Hyderabad and have emotionally integrated into Hyderabad population, will vote for TRS. They will not fall again into TRS and its supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao’s political trap. They have seen what happened after GHMC elections. After the formation of separate State and TRS assuming the power, they voted in favour of TRS by thinking that it was better to vote for it to facilitate all-round development of Greater Hyderabad. K T Rama Rao made several promises. But after winning 99 seats in the GHMC election, he failed to fulfil promises. - T Manikanta Chary, student, Champapet
No, I do not think that Seemandhra people, who has settled in Hyderabad, will vote for TRS. It is because they are inclined to vote for Andhra-based parties. - P Sasi, Kothagudem
No, I do not thinking that Seemandhras, who has settled in Hyderabad and have emotionally Integrated into Hyderabad population, will vote for TRS. - I Ram Prasad, Kothagudem
