Thanks to women who can't resist the temptation to shop. Not wanting to bother their husbands with 'Take me to shop' line, the women are making the most of the online shopping culture.

Confesses a shopaholic, "The best thing about shopping online is that you can save time, take as much time as you want and buy as many times as you want. Most importantly, the product is home delivered."

Name a brand and you find it there. Although there is no scope for a product trial, consumers can always send it back and re-order...all these at the click of a mouse from within the confines of your home!

Shopping addiction is something you can't get over with. Plastic money has made it even easier.

As Smriti Ghosh analyses, "Online shopping is like shopping at a supermarket. You have so much choice. And shoppers don't necessarily have anything in mind about how much to shop. And when they see that everything is available, shoppers go overboard and over indulge."

And one sector which is making the most of this trend is the retail sector. Another shopper, Krishnaveni says, "I guess the reason retail sector is thriving is obviously women shop more. Secondly, the display of dresses in the most attractive fashion on the home page makes them a fast moving product."

Who isn't bitten by the shopping bug? After all, the term retail therapy was coined after depressed souls vouched for it as a source of happiness. So what are you waiting for? Care for some retail therapy anyone?
