Our environment is facing serious threats and is crumbling under the waste left behind by us after the festivals are over. One of the major examples of this is the Ganeshotsav. While we celebrate the festival with much joy and reverence, we forget that we have a duty towards our environment too.
Our environment is facing serious threats and is crumbling under the waste left behind by us after the festivals are over. One of the major examples of this is the Ganeshotsav. While we celebrate the festival with much joy and reverence, we forget that we have a duty towards our environment too. Huge amount of waste is left behind after the Plaster Of Paris (POP) Ganesh idols fail to dissolve in the sea, lakes and ponds. Because of POP's artificial nature and the artificial colours and chemicals used to make the idols, millions of marine life wither and die, while the water bodies are left to stagnate.
