Thief held for robbing gold, silver from children in Hyderabad

A man who targetted children for gold and silver was arrested by the Hyderabad task force police on Friday. The police also seized 50 grams of gold and 500 grams silver from his possession.

Shaik Ismail is learned to have targetted the children by approaching them as their father's friend and told them that their father insisted them to exchange the gold or silver ornaments with a new design. After collecting the ornaments, the accused used to flee away from the spot.

According to the police, Ismail conducted recce a day before the robbery and targetted school going children. It is also learned that Ismail who is native of Maharashtra had worked as daily wage labour in Zaheerabad and Sangareddy.

Earlier, the accused was arrested by Jubilee Hills police in 2015 and was later released from the jail in 2016.
