Hyderabad: As many as 18 intermediate second year students from across Telangana State were booked for malpractice during the conduct of English Paper - II exams on Saturday. Further, two cases of impersonation were also booked in Hyderabad.
According to the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education, of 427,043 registered candidates, as many as 409,143 appeared for the exams while 17,900 or 4.19% were absent.
Observers were sent from Board to Kamareddy, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Siddipet districts. During checks, five cases of malpractice were booked in Nalgonda, four in Vikarabad, three in Mahabubnagar, two in Kamareddy and one each in Karimangar, Jagtial and Nagarkurnool. Two impersonation cases were registered in Hyderabad at TSSWR Junior College in Shaikpet and Gokul Jr College in Saidabad.
