The Chief Electoral Officer Rajath Kumar apologised voters whose names went missing from the voter list. "Several complaints have been raised pertaining to the issue and even the well-known people brought the issue to me. I am apologising to all those voters. The issue will be resolved for Lok Sabha polls," said Rajath.

The CEO further added that the number of voters in the final list has been increased to 2.81 crore from 2.61 crore which was announced in draft rolls in September. Besides the discrepancies, the polling was ended peacefully, said the CEO. Responding to the deletion of Jwala Gutta's vote, Rajath said that it was deleted in 2015 during the revision of voter list.
