Man gets lifer for murdering widow
Suryapet Second Additional Judge has awarded life sentence to an accused, Rangaiah, in connection with the murder of a widow, Tammishetty Ramulamma, in Kodad year 2014. On Tuesday, SP Prakash Jadhav spoke to media and explained the whole episode of the case.

As per SP’s information, Thammishetty Ramulamma, a widow was living with her 12-year-old son in Kodad town and was working at a hotel. Ramulamma allegedly having an affair with the accused R Rangaiah, a co-worker. On October 30, 2014, Rangaiah strangled Ramulamma over financial issue.
Based on complaint of kin of the deceased, then Kodad town CI Sridhar Reddy filed a case and took up investigation. After hearing the case, Suryapet Second Additional Court Judge awarded lifer to the accused and also imposed a fine of Rs 1,000. In his verdict, the judge further stated that if the accused failed to pay the imposed fine he was liable for another three months imprisonment.
