Domalguda: The Telangana State Teachers’ Associations Struggle Committee on Monday demanded immediate implementation of assurances given by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to employees and teachers ’organisations on May 16 this year.
At a meeting of the committee in DTF office, chaired by Karra Syamsundar Reddy, leaders wanted the TRS government to immediately announce payment of interim relief, release of DA dues from January 1, sanction of leave to teachers who were on duty during the 2016 summer mid-day meal scheme, as agreed upon during the discussions between KCR and leaders of the organisations.
The committee leaders alleged that no member of the families of deceased employees were given compassionate appointments within ten days of the demise, as ordered by KCR, during the last seven-eight years. They claimed that the inter-district transfers of either couples or employees were not approved despite the CM stating that such employees should work together.
The leaders demanded transfers of model school KGBV teachers, upgradation of PETs, issue of orders sanctioning notional increments to Rs.398 special teachers, holding of special meeting to scrap CPS, sanction of posts of 21 DEOs, 63 Dy EOs and 45 MEOs and OD facility for SC, ST teachers. They decided to submit memoranda on the demands to the CM and the Chief Secretary. Among those who attended the meeting were Chava Ravi (TSUTF), V Kondal Reddy, Mysa Srinivasulu (TPTF) ,M Raghushankar Reddy (DTF), M Pochayya(STF), Mahipal Reddy (SFTU), Subash (PSHMA).
