Hyderabad: Suchir India Managing Director Lion Kiron has been to one of the last inhabited towns in the northern most peak on earth—Longyearbyen. Exploring North Pole is an adventure on its own as there will always be surprises in the form hostile weather and unpredictable climate.
Sharing his experiences, he said that he had come across a polar bear during the course of the journey. Travelling deep into arctic fjords and went to the extent of almost touching the 83rd parallel north. He had flown to Dubai and from there to Oslo prior to reaching the Longyearbyen. Describing the purpose of his trip, he said, “Adventures are part of my life and always want to explore unseen and non-reachable places on the planet. One has to see both the ends of the earth that is the North and South poles.”
Earlier in 2009, he had visited the Antarctica in a Russian ship. As a globe trotter, he travelled to more than 75 counties across the globe. He described his most arduous trip was to travel to the Antarctica in a Russian vessel via Ushuaia when he almost became frozen. To a question, he said, sitting in the driving seat of Suchir India, “I always want to be a trend-setter in execution of all my projects be it is branding, promotions, on-ground activities, overseas business trips and so on.” His ambition was to explore seas and oceans and the highest mountain peaks across the world.
