Akbaruddin Owaisi donates Rs 3.2 lakh to clear salary dues of Falaknuma Degree College staff

Falaknuma: The salary dues of 15 contract lecturers and non-teaching staff of the Falaknuma Degree College for the financial year 2017-18 was cleared, following intervention of local MLA.
The MIM floor leader in the Legislative Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi has given Rs 3.20 lakh towards payment of salary dues of 15 contract lecturers and non-teaching staff at the Falaknuma Degree College for the 2017-18 financial year. Following representation by the Chandrayangutta MLA, the College has already secured Rs 5 crore from the Telangana State government for construction of a degree college building at the institution in addition to a sanction of Rs 3 crore for the junior college building. Half of the funds for the construction of the junior college building are to be provided by the MLA from his constituency development fund, said a press release.
Akbaruddin also sponsored Rs 7. 60 lakh towards the salaries of eight guest lecturers of Golconda Degree College for 16 months, the release added. Last year too, the AIMIM MLA provided Rs 1.5 lakh to the Government Junior College at Vikarabad towards salaries of guest lecturers of self-financed courses after it was brought to his notice by some students that these faculties was not paid their dues.
It may be mentioned here that during his recent visit to the Falaknuma Junior and Degree College campus, the Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari said that the Old Falaknuma College would be set up as a model campus of Rs 15 crore. MLA Akbaruddin and Education Commissioner Naveen Mittal who accompanied him examined the state of art Educational Campus. Since the girls and boys college were running on shift basis, a new building for Girls College was being constructed and to build a sports club at the grounds of GHMC, funds were sanctioned.
