You have been in the pharmaceutical industry for over two decades. How come this shift to Ayurveda?
It is true that I was in the pharma industry and went on to become a vice president of a well-known company but after closely studying the benefits and seeing first-hand the power of healing through Ayurveda, I myself have become a convert and now propagate it.
Can Ayurveda cure cancer?
We do not claim to cure cancer, but supportive cancer care is our main focus. Dr Aditi Kulkarni, director of medical services has done lot of research in treating cancer with Ayurvedic remedies.
Ayurveda has suitable answers to treat infection and inflammation and improve the immunocompetency.
It has the potential to reduce side effects of chemo therapy and prolong life. We also educate patients on how to prevent cancer through healthy eating habits.
It is a deep-rooted philosophy of keeping body and mind in balance, creating perfect health has attracted people of all walks of life worldwide.
Tell us about Veda Pulse?
It is a diagnostic tool introduced for the first time in Hyderabad. An HRV technology-based health analysis, it assesses the tridoshas vata, pitta and kapha and also analyses seven chakras of the body with which an Ayurvedic physician can guide the patient.
After clinical correlation the doctor would direct appropriate therapies and diet.
You call Ayurway as an integrated medical centre. Explain?
Ayurway provides yoga, meditation, pranic healing as supportive therapies and also focuses on aroma, sound and marma therapies.
Experts in internal medicine and psychiatry are always ready to help. We also have the doctors at the California centre in USA to provide inputs for the centre at Gachibowli.
Tell us about the Panchakarma treatment at Ayurway?
Unlike many Ayurvedic centres, Ayurway has state-of-the-art Panchkarma equipment and trained professionals from Kerala. Dr Rahul Kumar is the head of Panchkarma treatments.
We treat hypertension, migraine, arthritis, psoriasis, postural problems like back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain among others. To distress we have shirodhara and rejuvenation formula–Abhyanga and number of detoxifying therapies.
