Hyderabad : Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA), which has been creating a global platform for Telugu techies to share their views and knowledge, has taken another crucial step. TITA Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala launched the Association’s Mexico chapter at Guadalajara in the State of Jalisco of Mexico. The association has elected Rajasekhar Raida as the chapter president. Indian technology majors such as TCS, HCL are operating from this region. There are about 5,000 Indian families living in Mexico and of these about 1,000 are from Telangana.

On the occasion of the launch of TITA’s Mexican chapter, the association’s Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala visited several universities and schools to study the education patterns there. He noticed that 80-90 per cent of the students study in government institutions. Similar to Indian system, Kindergarten takes three years, pre-schooling takes six years, secondary education takes three years and high school takes another three years covering 10th, 11th and 12th classes. The way Indian education system works in 10+2 mode, Mexico has 3+6+3 system. Mexican currency ‘Peso’ is equivalent to INR 3.5 -4, he added.

The cost of living is also low in Mexico. He said, all these factors are attracting several Indian IT companies to set up operations here. TITA Mexico chapter President Rajasekhar Raida said, this is the first time an Indian association has entered into Mexico. TITA chapter is going to bring all the Telugu and people from Telangana in Mexico on to one platform and take measures for the welfare and growth.

The association will enable to get a part of NRI funds that the State government of Telangana has created for NRIs, towards the betterment of people living in Mexico. Following were nominated as TITA Mexico Committee Members: President – Rajasekhar Raida; Vice-president- Anand Kola; Chief Secretaries: – Nikhil Narisetti and Hariprasad Nimmadi; Joint Secretary – Prasanti and Treasurer – Santosh Nagarapu.
