Hyderabad: Army Public School RK Puram, Secunderabad organised Self Defense programme for girls in the school grounds. A total of 1000 girls took part in it and they were trained by Ravi, the Karate champion. Various techniques and stunts were taught to the girls and important tips were given to them how to defend and protect themselves in every situation. The school conducts this programme regularly to empower and educate girls to be bold, confident and face life courageously.

Speaking on the occasion, the school Principal, Usha Rani said living safe and free from violence is everyone’s right and reducing violence is everyone’s responsibility. It is always better to stop something bad from happening than to deal with it after it happened. One of the best forms of self defence is personal protective measures. This self defence training is to help deal with assailants who have dangerous weapons, improving one’s chances of staying safe.
