Police nab man for gypping jobseekers
The Commissioners Task Force, Central Zone team on Monday apprehended one on charges of cheating innocent unemployed youth with fake promises of providing jobs in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams TTD, Yadadri Devasthanams and Singareni Collieries Company Limited SCCL for the posts of data operators, store operators, multitasking staff and attenders
Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone team on Monday apprehended one on charges of cheating innocent unemployed youth with fake promises of providing jobs in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), Yadadri Devasthanams and Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) for the posts of data operators, store operators, multi-tasking staff and attenders.
The accused allegedly collected lakhs of rupees from the jobless youth. According to the police, on credible information accused Perumalla Ramesh (28) was nabbed at his residence in Tarnaka for luring innocent in the name of jobs. Ramesh is a native of Khammam, where he completed his Intermediate and later due to disinterest discontinued his studies and joined as system operator in TTD in Karimnagar as an out-sourcing employee in 2015.
While working in TTD, he came into contact with many youths of Karimnagar and assured them to provide jobs in TTD, Yadadri Devasthanam and SCCL as data operators, store operators, multi-tasking staff and attenders through back door as he claimed good contacts with higher officials of TTD and used to collect money from each person.
Police said the accused cheated nearly 30 to 40 jobless aspirants and lured them by collecting lakhs of rupees. He also cheated devotees in the name of booking tickets of various Sevas of Lord Venkateswara Swamy in Tirumala and used that amount for his lavish expenses. He cheated nearly 20 to 25 persons on the name of darshanams and sevas.
As he did not deposit the ticket amounts to TTD, the TTD officials held his posting for one month after which they dismissed him from job, police added. For the last five months, as people were demanding their money, Ramesh absconded from Karimnagar and was residing in Tarnaka in an apartment with his wife. So far, three cases were registered against accused in Bowenpally and Osmania University police stations and one in Karimnagar 1 Town police station.
The accused Ramesh was nabbed on Monday and handed over to SHO of Bowenpally police station for further investigation.Meanwhile police appealed to the public to not believe any mediator or agents for jobs in government sector through backdoor.
