​Hyderabad: The Malakpet police on Thursday solved a missing case and apprehended the victim’s brother and parents on charges of murder. During the course of the investigation it came to light that victim was murdered by her brother and parents.
According to Malakpet SHO K V Subba Rao, on December 18 K Maisaiah (73, Retired Bank official, East Prashanth Nagar, Moosarambagh) filed a missing complaint of his daughter and stated that on December 17 at about 11:30 am his daughter K Shiva Nandini (38) left the house by informing that she was going outside. But, when she did not return for a very long time, he got tensed and went out to search for her. He immediately filed a missing report with the Malakpet police and requested for necessary action to trace his daughter as soon as possible.
Based on the complaint, the police registered a missing case and took up investigation. During the course of investigation, the police came to know that the victim’s brother and her parents were involved. Soon, the police thoroughly investigated the victim’s brother K Siddarth (31, A E E, Irrigation Department, Vanaparthy, Mahbubnagar).
On interrogation, he confessed to have murdered his sister K Shiva Nandini with the assistance of his parents by throttling her and concealed her body in the bathroom of his house at East Prasanth Nagar, Moosarambagh. Further, he also confessed that on December 17 at 12 noon he poured Harpic acid on her body to destroy the evidence. Based on the confession of the accused, section of law was altered from woman missing to section 302, 201 r/w 34 IPC.
Deceased Shiva Nandini was married in the year 2004 and got divorce in the year 2017 and was living with her parents along with her son. On December 20, accused K Siddarth and K Nirmala (60, housewife) were arrested produced before the court.
