​Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police on Thursday arrested two inter-state notorious gangsters who were indulged in Keesara Jewellery shop dacoity case. According to Rachakonda Police commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat, the main accused Brijbhushan Pandey (27), resident of Rajasthan along with his associates took up crime since 2009 and till date he had been involved in more than 20 cases of murder, robbery, dacoity, chain snatching and narcotics. He was also involved in serious type of assault on police persons and escaped from police and prisoner’s custody from Varna and Valiya places. With the help of Ankleshwar police of Baruch district of Gujarat, the Keesara police arrested Brijbhushan and Shashibhushan Pandey (30).
On September 17, Butul Pandey and his associates Santosh Singh, Ashwin Pathak , Shashibushan Pandey, Praveen and others came to Hyderabad carrying fire arms to commit dacoity in the jewellery shop. They divided into two groups and committed theft of two motor cycles one at Medipally and another one at Hayathnagar and hidden them in Ghatkesar area.
The next day morning they collected both the motorcycles and parked their XUV vehicle at keesara outskirts and at around 1:45 pm Butul Pandey and others entered into R K Jewellery shop carrying fire arms. When the shop owner started shouting public gathered and to escape from the spot Butul Pandey opened fire in the air to panic the public and while escaping Santosh Singh and others thrashed one Srikanth and escaped with his bike and later they abandoned the vehicle at Keesara.
On September 18, Butul Pandey and his associates kidnapped a person by name Chandrashekar from his house at KPHB and forcibly took him to Ghatkesar area in XUV and after killing him, buried the dead body. A case has been registered under Kukatpally Police Station.
Police sent the CCTV footages to different States and found that the accused were in Gujarat. With the help of Baruch district police, they tried to nab the accused Police opened fire and in the exchange of fire the accused were injured and later arrested at Ankleshwar. Police seized one revolver, five empty shells, 5 cartridges and one mobile phone from the accused.
