Kalyaan Dhev eyes lover boy tag

After the not-so-impressive debut ‘Vijetha’, young actor Kalyaan Dhev is going all out to bag the lover boy tag. Apparently, he has reportedly asked young director Puli Vasu to weave a heart-touching love story.

“Kalyan wants to move into the lover boy zone since it suits his age and look. He urged the director to design a perfect romantic role to impress young viewers,” says a source, close to the unit. The son-in-law of Chiranjeevi seems to be thinking in the right way, because his last film was more about love-hate relationship between a father and son, hence, he likes to change tracks with his next to deliver a sure-shot winner. “Love stories are a safe bet and conflict between lovers would be more contemporary and a relatable story,” the source adds.

Bankrolled under the banner of Rizwan Entertainments, the makers are looking for a top heroine to play his love interest. “A popular actress will be roped in to give the film a good mileage, instead of a new girl,” the source adds. No doubt, Srija’s husband is following in the footsteps of young actors like Naga Chaitanya, Vijay Devarakonda, Ram and Karthikeya, who are hailed as the new-age lover boys. Has Kalyaan Dhev cracked the winning formula? We have to wait and see.
