Finally, superstar Dhanush treats his fans with an explosive, funny and quirky trailer of Maari 2, also starring Sai Pallavi, Tovino and Varalaxmi in full action mode.
Dhanush shared the trailer on his social media profile. He captioned it, “#Maari2 trailer...#tharalocal #senjuruven #dec21release”
The trailer of Dhanush’s second film with director Balaji Mohan, Maari 2, is out and viral. The film also stars Sai Pallavi, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Tovino Thomas in the lead, the film is the sequel to the 2015 gangster comedy, Maari.
The trailer tells us that Maari (Dhanush) has been missing for 8 years, eluding both the police and rowdies. Right from the beginning, Maari’s invincibility is made obvious.
Arathu Anandhi (Sai Pallavi), who is an auto driver, harbours love for Maari and as the trailer progresses we can see that the two get married. Tovino’s character, Beeja, comes with a mysterious background theme.
Produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films Private Limited, Maari 2 cinematography is by Om Prakash, editing by GK Prasanna, costume design by Vasuki Bhaskar and the music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
'Rowdy Baby’, a dance number from the film, has created a good buzz around it. This song has been choreographed by Prabhu Deva and promises to be a very peppy dance number. The video is a slideshow of pictures that show Dhanush and Sai Pallavi dancing.
Maari 2 will be dubbed and released in Telugu simultaneously. The film will hit the screens worldwide on December 21.
On the related note, the film will now logger-head with Vijay Sethupathi’s Seethakathi, Jayam Ravi’s Adanga Maru and Vishnu Vishal’s Silukkuvarupatti Singam at the box-office on December 21.
