The pre-release event of the Tamil and Telugu hero Arjun’s 150th film ‘Kurukshetram’, a crime thriller was held in Hyderabad on Sunday. Directed by Arun Vaidyanathan, the film is being released by Srinivas Meesala in Telugu under the banner of Sri Vadapalli Venkateshwara Creations and presented by Umesh Reddy, chairman of Passion Studios.

Speaking to the media at the pre-release event, Umesh Reddy said he was proud to present Arjun’s 150th film under his banner, Passion Studios. He thanked Vadapalli Venkateshwara Rao for his support in getting the ‘Kurukshetram’ released in Telugu. In his speech, Tammalapalli Ramasatyanarayana said that the trailer was excellent. He expressed the hope that the film would become a huge hit, as it is being released on the auspicious occasion of Vinayaka Chaturdhi on Thursday.

Arjun said that he was playing the role of a police officer, which was projected in a different way in this action family entertainer. ‘Kurukshetram’ would remain as the top 10 films of his career, he added. Producer Sai Krishna said that the film ‘Kurukshetram’ would speak for itself after its release and there was no need for him to speak on it. Director Arun Vaidyanathan said that Arjun was a humble man with no trace of any ego, he added.

He said that the Telugu audience would always encourage novelty in films and ‘Kurukshetram’ would draw huge crowds to the theatres. Veteran star Srikanth said that he was a big fan of Arjun. He said that producers like Sai Krishna, Meesala Srinivas and Vadapalli Venkateshwara Rao have both passion and commitment and Tollywood needs such people.
