Story:
The story of the movie is set in an area called Kancharapalem near Visakhapatnam. The film tells the story of the natives and their way of living style. The movie opens up with the love story of a 50-year-old unmarried man Raju to a youngster Gaddam who falls for a prostitute Saleema and then opens into more subplots of the journey of Joseph-Bhargavi and Sundaram-Sunitha.
This movie does the commentary on love, caste, religion and other sensitive issues of the society. How did all the subplots of the film unfold to portray love in a new way is the story of the movie.
Performances:
The film stars a bunch of newcomers playing the leads. Performances wise everyone did their best in the movie. The child actors who played Sunitha and Sundaram characters are too good in the movie. The actors who played their parents are also natural and portrayed decent performances.
Raju who played the unmarried man is the highlight of the film. Raju is completely impressive in his role and brought the necessary humor to the movie. The actor who played Raju's pair is good and looked natural with her performance.
The young girl who played her daughter is also nice. The actors who played Gaddam, Saleema, Joseph, and Bhargavi are amazing. Every single actor made their mark and made us feel their presence in the movie.
Technical Aspects:
The film is shot in sync sound and it helped the film appear natural and realistic. The mood of the film was simple and pleasant. The camera work of the film is top notch and the visuals are stunning.
The editing is neat and decent. The production design, locations selected and the artwork are excellent. The narrative structure is engaging. The music is extraordinary. All the songs and the lyrics for them give us a fresh feel for the movie. The writing is brilliant and the background score has given proper elevation for the situations in the movie. The production values are grand. It's good to see Rana backing a project like this.
Verdict:
The best part of the movie is that it talks about all the sensitive issues in the society in a matured and meaningful manner. The several elements of life were portrayed well in the film and presented the harsh realities of today’s life in a realistic way.
There are moments in the film that will make the audiences laugh, cry and feel disturbed. The ending of the movie will surely be a memorable one for the audiences. The curiosity built around every single character is appreciable.
Having said all of these, on a final note, C/O Kancharapalem is a brilliant movie that is a roller-coaster of love and life presented amazingly on the big screen. Highly recommended movie.
