Washington D.C. [USA]: Marvel studios producer, Victoria Alonso will be honoured at the Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) for her contribution to the industry.

She will be honoured with the Charles S. Swartz Award at the annual HPA Awards on November 15, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.

The ceremony will be held at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.

Her award is named in the honour of the late Charles S. Swartz, who was an innovative executive who led the Entertainment Technology Center at the University of Southern California.

A native of Buenos Aires, Alonso served as an executive producer for Marvel movies like 'Captain America: Civil War', 'Doctor Strange', 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2', 'Thor: Ragnarok', 'Black Panther', 'Avengers: Infinity War', and 'Ant-Man and the Wasp'.

She's also an important voice in Hollywood as a producer, she was also the first woman to be honored with the Visual Effects Society's Visionary Award in 2017.

She is currently working for 'Captain Marvel' and the untitled fourth installment of 'Avengers'.

Alonso moved to the U.S. on her own at the age of 19, beginning her career as a PA at Digital Domain.
