In his endeavour to do something new, Kalyanram, after the disastrous ‘ISM’, has picked ‘Prema Ishq Kadhal’ director Pavan Sadineni for his next. Although details regarding the film’s genre are under wraps, we hear it would roll this summer.
“It was Kalyan who contacted Pavan for a film. Impressed by the director’s emotional and humorous script in the first meeting itself, the actor pronto promised Pavan that it’d be his next film. The script doesn’t require him to undergo any major makeover. The film would be a Visakhapatnam-set drama with some portions being planned in Hyderabad.
Pavan is fine-tuning the script presently and only once it is locked that he would shift attention to zero in on the other cast and crew,” a source close to the development confirms, adding, “As Kalyanram is producing his brother NTR’s ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ on a very prestigious note, he is not keen on associating with this project too, as a producer.
He has a few commitments to other producers but if he feels Pavan’s vision is tampered with, then he might don the producer’s hat. He is planning to complete the film in between Rs 12- 15 crore.” So, what happened to Pavan’s project, ‘Bheemudu’, with Nara Rohith? “Budget issues led to it being put on the backburner for now,” the source adds.
