Will Rajinikanth's Kochadaiiyaan deliver what it promises?
Will Rajinikanth\'s Kochadaiiyaan deliver what it promises? The superstar of the masses flaunts an undeniable following and idol worship, proclaiming to be one of the greatest matinee Gods of Indian Cinema.
There is nothing less than mania that grips South India just before a Rajinikanth film hits the screen. The superstar of the masses flaunts an undeniable following and idol worship, proclaiming to be one of the greatest matinee Gods of Indian Cinema. Kochadaiiyaan, one of the biggest magnum opus made in a 3D format with Rajini playing the animated warrior is gathering a lot of attention. Chennai aside which boasts of mind blowing promotions pre-release, the entire country is waiting to watch the Rajini magic made in a la Hollywood standards, showcasing some top notch VFX of the present times. Rajini's daughter, Soundarya Ashwin had put in sheer hard work and determination, pulling off the project to successfully reach the post production stage and now, finally, a World Wide release on May 23.
The technical team that was instrumental behind designing the stunning visual effects for Hollywood landmarks such as Avatar and Tin-Tin had been roped in to present Kochadaiiyaan in a larger than life image on the marquee. A predictable story-line of a brave fighter who wins with good over evil, Rajini looks every bit fifteen years younger in the animated version. The trailer showing the main characters like Deepika Padukone and Pradeep Rawat in a photo animation proves the fact that a lot of detailing had gone into making the final output come alive. The actors, including Rajini himself, invested a lot of time and concentration along with the tech team to make this happen. A R Rahman's music adds more finesse to this amazing rendition.
However, it remains to be seen if such an exorbitant affair pays off well enough at the Box Office. The fact that there is no actual Rajini here - his alter ego animated sorts taking over may well connect with the kids. A lot depends on the story, the execution at length and the visual impact equivalent to Avatar for over 3 hours. The star factor of Rajini gripping the audience must be felt, which is a matter of conjecture for a 3D movie.
The entire team of Soundarya Rajinikanth and the fans of Thalaivar all over the World now look forward to the movie that will transcend and take the 'Rajini Power' to a completely different level.
Kochadaiiyaan is a a 3D animated photo realistic film produced jointly by Eros International and Media One Global Ltd.
