Modi to watch ‘Kochadaiyaan’

Though the meeting earlier last week between Tamil Nadu's No.1 entertainment icon Rajinikanth and Narendra Modi, the man who is expected to be the prime minister by many of his admirers, was described as completely apolitical, there's more of that social bonding between the two coming up. One learns from sources close to Rajinikanth's new film ‘Kochadaiyaan’ that a special screening of the film would be held for Modi. Says the source, "Not many people know this. But Narendra Modiji loves masala movies, though he doesn't get to see many. But Rajinikanth is his favourite and he apparently expressed a wish to see ‘Kochadaiyaan’. Raijni Sir immediately asked his team to get into action."

Apparently, the show would be held in Ahmedabad at Modi's convenience. While Rajinikanth won't be attending personally, his daughter Soundarya who has directed ‘Kochadaiyaan’ is expected to attend Modi's screening in Gujarat. Meanwhile, plans for lavish premiere of ‘Kochadaiyaan’ in Chennai have been dropped. According to sources there would only be a premiere in Mumbai on May 8, and none at all in Chennai. The turnout in Mumbai's premiere is expected to be hugely impressive.
