Celkon unveils 1st Windows phone at Rs.4,979, City-based Celkon Impex Private Limited on Monday launched Celkon Win 400, its first ever smartphone based on Windows operating system.
Hyderabad: City-based Celkon Impex Private Limited on Monday launched Celkon Win 400, its first ever smartphone based on Windows operating system. Unveiled in association with Microsoft India and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc, the smart phone comes with an affordable price tag of Rs 4, 979.

“We are happy to announce our association with Microsoft and Qualcomm, a new milestone for Celkon. Apart from the Win 400, we are planning to launch some smartphones based on Windows platform,” Y Guru, Chairman and Managing Director, Celkon Mobiles, told media after the launch.
Featuring the latest Windows 8.1 platform, the dual sim Win 400 comes with a 1.2GHz Quad-core processor, 5 MP rear camera with flash and 1.3 MP front camera. It provides full 3G support with a four-inch display. Other features include GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 V along with Wi-Fi 802.11, 1500 mAh Lithium Ion battery and the internal memory of 4GB with 512MB RAM. “Our deep engagement with local companies is one of the engines of growth for the Windows ecosystem and we are proud of our partnership with Celkon. With Celkon’s WIN 400, Windows is now available to a whole new group of consumers in India, who are looking for innovation and value, ”said Rajiv Ahlawat, Director-Mobility, Microsoft India.
