Nellore: The data theft issue has taken complete political colour. YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Tuesday alleged that the government has transferred personal details like bank account, cheque book number, Aadhaar number and voter Id of every person in the state to private companies.
Blue Frog and IT Grids, the two IT companies belong to Naidu’s coterie, who prepared Seva Mitra app, he said.
Addressing the booth-level committee members from all constituencies in the district at SVGS grounds as part of Samara Sankharavam, Jagan made very serious allegations against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu like he (Naidu) would even set villages on fire if he knew that people will not vote for him.
In another sensational statement, Jagan said that they had filed lakhs of petition under Form 7 seeking removal of several votes which they felt were bogus. Jagan called upon his party workers to keep a tab on vote deletions and focusing on enrolling new voters.
He said 59 lakh bogus votes were added in which 39 lakh were from Andhra Pradesh. He said they had requested the Election Commission to look in to the issue. Opposition leader said vote of his uncle, YS Vivekananda Reddy, had disappeared from the list.
He also criticised some media houses in AP and TS for supporting the ruling party though it has been committing offences like stealing valuable data of people and deleting votes.
He said that the ruling party had violated general guidelines even though the Supreme Court of India clearly informed that the data should not be owned any organisation.
He said the chief minister deputed his own police personnel as soon as TS police conducted raids on the private companies.
He said police personnel in AP were being used as TDP ‘watchmen’. “People earlier heard about Bakasura or Narakasura. Now, ‘Narasura’ is ruling the state, he added.
