Chief Minister and TDP Supremo N Chandrababu Naidu has finalised the candidatures of N Aneesha Reddy from Punganur and N Kishore Kumar Reddy from Piler

Tirupati: Chief Minister and TDP Supremo N Chandrababu Naidu has finalised the candidatures of N Aneesha Reddy from Punganur and N Kishore Kumar Reddy from Piler.
Though there were given clearance long before the elections, now they got final clearance. With this, two more candidates are to be announced in the four Assembly segments that fall
under Rajampet Parliamentary constituency.
Kishore Kumar Reddy, the brother of former Chief Minister of combined AP State N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who contested on Jai Samkyandhra party ticket in 2014 elections and finished in second place with 56,636 votes there by secured 33.42 per cent votes.
YSRCP candidate C Ramachandra Reddy has won from that constituency. Subsequently, he joined TDP and without any hesitation, the party has announced him as in-charge of Piler Constituency and he was also appointed as Chairman of the AP Housing Corporation Limited.
Nallari family has solid vote bank in western parts of the district as their family members–Amarnath Reddy, his wife Sarojamma, Kiran and Kishore have contested 13 general elections without a break and won 8 times.
It was Kishore, who looked after the responsibilities of the constituency and development works on behalf of Kiran Kumar Reddy, when he was the Chief Minister and having good contacts with the public. After he took over the constituency responsibilities, Piler stood on top in membership drive in the State.
In Punganur, the party has tried to field a new face since 2014 elections after party candidate M Venkataramana Raju was defeated consecutively for two times.
Since the choice was narrowed down to Aneesha Reddy, who is the wife of Minister N Amaranatha Reddy’s brother Sreenatha Reddy.
Both Aneesha and her husband, who was the party in-charge in the constituency have toured extensively in the segment and having good relations with the cadre.
Still, Madanapalle and Tamballapalle candidates are to be decided in Rajampet Parliamentary Constituency with the other three segments Rayachoti, Railway Koduru and Rajampet fall into Kadapa district.
During the discussions on Friday, it was learnt that two candidates–D Ramesh and G Ramdass Chowdary were left in the final race for party ticket with Naresh Kumar Reddy has reportedly dropped and sought for MLC post.
Naidu was expected to take a final call on this segment before the month end. No decision was taken on Thamballapalle as well with the sitting MLA G Shankar was expecting a second chance.
Chandrababu is yet to take a formal decision on other candidates though Pulivarthi Nani and N Amaranatha Reddy were given green signals to contest from Chandragiri and Palamaner respectively. As he was taking up each Parliamentary constituency and deciding the candidatures, the official announcement on other candidates may be expected soon.
As far as Lok Sabha tickets are concerned, sitting MP Dr N Sivaprasad is all set to contest for the third term while the six-time MP, former Union Minister and Congress leader A Sai Prathap was expected to contest on TDP ticket.
From Tirupati, former Police officer K Jayaram was said to be under consideration of the party. During last elections, he contested on BJP ticket as the alliance partner of TDP but lost the election.
