10 from Tamil Nadu held; 40 red sanders logs seized

Kadapa: The Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) personnel nabbed 10 wood cutters from Tamil Nadu and seized 40 red sanders logs from them at Lanka Malleswara forest in Kazipet mandal in the early hours of Thursday.

According to sources, the RSASTF sleuths have spotted wood cutters in the dense forest of Lanka Malleswara while conducting combing operations. Meanwhile, the task force officials conducted an awareness camp in Porumamilla mandal on Thursday appealing to people not to extend support to the red sanders smugglers as it is a crime.
