Guntur: Minister for Social Welfare Nakka Anand Babu said that the State government has sanctioned Rs 30 crore for four social welfare residential college hostel buildings and Rs 10 crore for BR Ambedkar Study Circle in the district.
the foundation stones for the construction of hostel buildings at a programme in Sri Venkateswara Vignana Mandiram in city on Tuesday, he said that the government will construct 60 hostel buildings at a cost of Rs 303 crore and 15 residential school buildings at Rs 1,500 crore.
He reminded that the State government was extending financial assistance of Rs 15 lakh forAmbedkar Overseas Education Scheme and urged the eligible avail the benefits of scheme and added that so far financial assistance was extended up to 300 students to go abroad for higher education.
