Vijayawada: Doctors of the Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction (ISAR), Andhra Pradesh Chapter, participated in an awareness walkathon from PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science to Benz Circle here on Sunday.
To mark the ISAR foundation day, the doctors organised the walkathon to create an awareness among the people on infertility and obesity problems.
They raised slogans to control obesity, stop taking junk foods and conduct marriages in time, avoid malnutrition and follow daily exercise.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Chandana, secretary of ISAR said that couple without children need not worry as there were various new innovative procedures available in the medical field.
Dr V Sujatha said that in the present busy mechanical world, everyone is subjected to mental and physical stress which is one of the reasons behind infertility.
