University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test UGCNET 2019 will be held in June this year with a changed syllabus
Hyderabad: University Grants Commission -National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET)- 2019 will be held in June this year with a changed syllabus.
According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), the UGC-NET for Assistant Professor and for the Junior Research Fellowship, and for both will be held from on June 20 and 21 and June 24 to 28, it said.
The Computer Based Test (CBT) consists of two papers, however, unlike the earlier test pattern will be held in a single three-hour duration.
That apart, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has also made some changes in the syllabus for General Paper comprising Paper-1 of the test on Teaching and Research Aptitude.
Accordingly, five questions each carrying two marks will be set from each of the 10 modules in the new syllabus. Also, whenever graphical or pictorial questions are set for sighted candidates, it said, "a passage followed by an equal number of questions and weightage shall be set for visually impaired candidates".
Similarly, the UGC has also notified new syllabus for 81 subjects for the Paper-II test.
The online registration for the test will start will be open from March 1 to 30 and the admit cards can be downloaded from May 15 and the results of the test will be announced by July 15.
The test which will be held based on the new syllabus can be accessed on the UGC website at www.ugcnetonline.in.
