Amaravati: BJP MLA Vishnukumar Raju speaking on the Vision 2029 document released in the Assembly by Speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao on Friday, said that the TDP government had appreciably developed the State and one should acknowledge the same.
“BJP has never been shy on appreciating the hard work done by any party,” he said. He said the Vision 2029 document states that transparency and reduction of corruption are part of the vision. He however said the State also witnessed some scams. “The State has witnessed sand scam, illegal mining scam and even land scam but no action was taken against culprits,” he said.
Though Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had constituted a special investigation team (SIT) in the land scam but the report submitted by the SIT did not see the light of day.
He appealed to the government to give more powers to the Anti-Corruption Bureau to curb corruption in the State. “If the officials followed the vision, Andhra Pradesh would become number one in the country,” he said.
Referring to the condition of the cement concrete roads in the State, the BJP MLA said that it was the BJP which funded for the construction of the roads. He thanked the Chief Minister for sanctioning Rs 50 crore for Kshatriya Seva Sanstha to help the poor among Kshatriyas.
The BJP MLA recalled that nearly 3,000 farmers committed suicide during the 10-year Congress rule between 2004-14. “Only 79 farmers committed suicide during the TDP regime,” he pointed out.Since it is the last day in the Assembly, he thanked the BJP cadre and Jana Sena chief apart from TDP workers for electing him as an MLA.
