Rajamahendravaram: Prof MV Prasad Rao assumed charge as in-charge Vice-chancellor of Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) here on Monday. At present he is the vice-chancellor of Rayalaseema University.
The government appointed MV Prasad Rao as in-charge vice-chancellor to AKNU, in the place of Prof S Ramakrishna Rao who retired one week ago.
Prof Murru Mutyala Naidu, after his three years tenure as V-C, went back to Sri Krishnadevaraya University as professor in November.
Rector Prof Suresh Varma, Registrar Prof S Teki and other staff welcomed the new incumbent.
