Chandrababu Naidu accuses Jaganmohan Reddy, BJP of trying to stall development of AP state

Anakapalle (Visakhapatnam district): Even as the TDP government was supplying water to Kadapa district and even laid foundation stone for steel factory to provide employment in the region, YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy was not uttering not a single word against the BJP government at the Centre for its betrayal of state on promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act, said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. during public meeting held at NTR grounds near Anakapalli in the district.
Addressing a public meeting at NTR Grounds near here on Friday, Naidu reiterated his charge that YSRCP was supporting BJP in the state even after the saffron party deceived the people of AP. He said TDP had won with the votes of Backward Classes from North Andhra region, so it would stand for every backward class individual and ensure their welfare with various schemes.
“TDP will remain in the history as the party which reduced poverty in the state among the backward class people. The main motto of the party is to eradicate poverty completely from the society,” he declared.
The Chief Minister said TDP had launched over 350 Anna canteens and constructed houses for the poor, realising the dream of poor people owning a house. He said despite state running a deficit budget, the government implemented debt relief on a large-scale.
“TDP is always concerned about the welfare of farmers who are the backbone of our state. As part of our efforts to improve the lot of farmers, we laid foundation for providing water for cultivation to 10,000 acre land at an estimated cost of Rs 24 crore here between Sarada–Tumpala river anicut,” he said.
He accused the BJP government at the Centre of trying to muzzle the voice TDP leaders for raising their voice against the injustice done to the state in denying Special Category Status (SCS) and other promises by conducting raids by Central agencies, Naidu asserted that he would continue his Dharma Porata Deeksha till all rights of the state are achieved.
Taking pot shots at YSRCP chief, he said people who spent time in jail were making allegations against him. “I need not fear anyone as I have not committed any wrong. YSRCP and BJP are trying to create hurdles to the development in state by resorting to cheap politics,” he said and called upon the people to teach a lesson to such parties in the coming elections.
Later, the Chief Minister distributed cheques, cameras, stitching machines, printers and other benefits to the beneficiaries belonging to Backward Classes under Aadarana scheme. Ministers N Chinarajappa, K Atchannaidu, Ch Ayyanapatrudu along with MP Avanthi Srinivas were present.
